An Excerpt from the story, The Last War, Chapter 6

The next stop was at the huge pyramidal dome at the top of which was the astronomical Mayan calendar. The princess explained them the calculation of the Mayan calendar.

“Why does this calendar end on this future date?” asked Agrasena. He was relating it with the Vedic calendar and the calculation of the yugas.

Princess Itzel replied, “No, it does not end here. After this date, a new cycle starts.” Saying so, she asked the time keepers to calibrate the huge circular carved stone slabs to point to the next cycle. Agrasena was mentally calculating the years and it matched for a certain period he was reflecting upon. He was marveling on the huge system created for the common understanding of all the societies.

“Yes, it matches with our system as well.” Agrasena replied as he was also in parallel trying to decipher the Mayan symbols.

“That’s because somewhere you are not allowing yourself to break free,” replied Itzel.

“What do you mean?” asked Agrasena.

“Listen, Agrasena. The magic that we say is actually about moving to a higher dimension. There actually is no magic. It comes through your hard work and actions. So, when you meditate, just allow the universe to flow through you unrestricted… and you will see the greatest magic you have ever seen.”

“Magnificent,” replied Agrasena.
